Welcome to the website of the Donna Klein Jewish Academy. Our school is in its 30th year. Since its inception in 1979, our school has grown to be one of the largest Jewish Community Day Schools in the United States, and one of the very few kindergarten through grade 12, with an international reputation for educational excellence and innovation in both general and Judaic studies. At Donna Klein Jewish Academy, your child will experience Jewish living, learning and academic achievement.
More than five years ago, we wrote our Strategic Plan, Atid, Visions of the Future. This plan was created to take us to the year 2010 with well defined goals, strategies, and initiatives. The plan is complete and we are ready to embark on the creation of a new 5 year plan to take us to the year 2015. We have far surpassed our goals thus far, and we are proud of our 30 years of strength!
Each year we choose a theme for the entire K-12 school, the message of which we weave through the daily experiences of our school community. This year’s theme, therefore, is KOACH: STRENGTH..
Our families represent a broad spectrum of religious, educational and cultural backgrounds. We celebrate the Jewish values we share, and explore the differences that make each of us unique, through understanding and respect of the many practices within Judaism. We are dedicated to the legacy of our heritage.
We hope that you use this website as a way to learn about all aspects of our school, a school that prides itself as being, “More than a school, a family.”
Sincerely,
Karen Feller
Head of School
